MBS Item Number Enquiries
The AHSS Section 11 Committee has been established to assist members with Hand Surgery MBS Item Number interpretation and use enquiries. Previously submitted questions are available for review. The Department of Health also offers AskMBS.
The objective of the Section 11 Committee is to help with interpretation where a member is unsure or seeking reassurance. Please note that neither the AskMBS site nor the AHSS Section 11 Committee can accept liability for your billing decisions. The final responsibility for any Item Numbers submitted for patient services to Medicare remains the sole responsibility of the member.
