The fellow will have completed their specialist surgical training including their final exam. The fellow will be involved with all manner of orthopaedic hand surgery. This will include a large amount of hand trauma, as well as elective hand surgery, both in the public hospital and private hospital setting. At the end of their run a fellow would be expected to be competent with decision-making and surgical treatment of all orthopaedic hand trauma and have a good grounding in elective orthopaedic hand surgery.
